Delete your account

Last updated: 27 August 2026

You can ask for your Equifyi account to be erased at any time. We action requests within 30 days and confirm by email. This cannot be undone.

Request it in the app

  1. Sign in and open Profile (your avatar, top right).
  2. Scroll to Delete my account and tap Request deletion.
  3. Your profile shows the request as pending. You can cancel it there until it has been actioned.

If you own a yard on Equifyi, hand ownership to someone else first (Yard settings → Members) or ask us to close the yard — an account that owns a yard can't be erased.

Or request it by email

If you can't sign in, email hello@equi.fyi from the address registered to your account.

What erasure removes

  • Your profile: name, phone number, photo, notification settings.
  • Your private details: address and next-of-kin.
  • Your horses and their records — care instructions, health log, photos and documents. (Each yard you left keeps its snapshot of the horse's record at the time you left.)
  • Photos you uploaded to yard galleries, and tags of you in other photos.
  • Your device records and push-notification subscriptions.
  • Your induction record at each yard, any pending invitations to you, and your name and email on invitations you accepted.
  • Your sign-in: the email address is removed and the account is closed.

What stays, and why

  • Messages you sent in yard chat, entries you made in other people's horse logs, and services you ticked off as staff stay, attributed to “Former member” — other people's conversations and the yard's records would otherwise have holes in them. (Your own horses' logs and clinic sign-ups go with your horses.)
  • Livery agreements you signed are kept as evidence for both parties, as is usual for contractual documents — including the name you typed, your drawn signature and the time and IP address of signing. Your handbook acknowledgements are kept as the yard's record in the same way.
  • When you leave a yard — including as part of erasure — the yard keeps a read-only snapshot of your membership record as it stood: your name, the address and next-of-kin you gave the yard, and your horses' records there. The yard owner is the controller of that record; ask them to erase it. Documents you uploaded for the yard stay with the yard, shown as uploaded by “Former member”.

Deleting some things without closing your account

  • Gallery photos and documents you uploaded: delete them where you see them.
  • A horse's notes, health-log entries and photos: edit or delete them on the horse's page.
  • Push notifications: turn them off in Profile → Notifications.
  • Leaving a yard: ask the yard owner to remove you.
